• Steak With Creamy Mushroom Sauce

    This is a very simple recipe combined with good fats for a healthy steak or chicken topping. Simply cook your meat to your liking and top with the sauce. Serve with a side of steamed veggies, bed of cauliflower mash or sweet potato.


    • Steak cut of your choice or 1 chicken breast, cooked to your liking
    • 2 tablespoons coconut butter
    • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
    • 1 cup of mushrooms, sliced
    • 1/2 onion, diced
    • 1 cup full cream coconut milk
    • 1/4 cup red wine
    • pepper
    • dried parsley


    1. Heat the coconut butter in a frypan over a medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent
    2. Add garlic and cook for a further few minutes until aromatic
    3. Add mushrooms and cook for a further 5 minutes or until mushrooms are well coated and softened
    4. Add wine a simmer long enough to cook off the alcohol
    5. Reduce heat and add the coconut milk. Simmer slowly. Add the pepper and dried parsley to taste. Continue to simmer until sauce thickens
    6. Cover your prepared steak or chicken and serve
