    Slow cooker salsa chicken

    Ingredients

    • 1 kg boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into strips
    • 1 cup mild salsa
    • 1 cup diced tomatoes, fresh or canned
    • 1 cup spring onion, diced
    • 1/2 cup celery, diced
    • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
    • 3 tablespoons sour cream
    • half a cup of water

    Method

    1. Place chicken in slow cooker
    2. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the meat and pour salsa on top
    3. Add diced onions, tomatoes and celery
    4. Pour water over the top and set on low. Cook for 6 – 8 hours
    5. When ready to serve, break up chicken with 2 forks and stir in the sour cream
