• Gluten and Virtually Fat Free Sausage Rolls

    With this recipe the meat filling is your choice. You can use pork, chicken, beef, wallaby or turkey mince. You can also add anything extra to the filling like onion, carrot etc. Just avoid high sugar sauces.


    • 4 cups ground almond meal
    • 6 eggs
    • 6 tablespoons coconut oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 kg pork mince (or mince of your choice)
    • Onion powder to taste
    • Garlic powder to taste
    • Black pepper


    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
    2. In a bowl combine almond meal, 3 of the eggs, coconut oil and baking soda. Mix together using your hands to make a dough
    3. Roll the dough into 1/2 cm thickness and set aside
    4. Combine pork mince and spices
    5. Whisk the remaining 3 eggs in a small bowl, add half to the pork and combine
    6. Cut dough into 4 rectangles
    7. Place 1/4 of the meat on each and roll up
    8. Seal the dough with the remaining egg using a pasty brush
    9. Place on a wire rack and bake for 35-40 minutes
    10. Cut into desired size and serve hot or cold
