• Coconut Prawn Soup

    This recipe is low calorie, low carb, high protein, gluten and dairy free and can be substituted with chicken instead of seafood.


    • 1 kg raw peeled prawns
    • 2 tablespoons coconut butter or olive oil
    • 3/4 cup diced onion
    • 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 1 red capsicum, diced
    • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
    • 1 can diced tomatoes
    • 1 can full cream coconut milk
    • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
    • 2 tablespoons lime juice
    • Avocado for garnish (optional)


    1. Heat coconut butter or olive oil in a frypan over a medium / high heat
    2. Sauté onions and capsicum  for a few minutes until the onion becomes translucent
    3. Add prawns, cilantro, garlic and tomatoes. Simmer until the prawns turn opaque
    4. Pour in coconut milk and chilli sauce. Simmer for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavours to combine
    5. Finish by adding lime juice
    6. Serve and top with avocado if desired
