    Asian-Glazed-Drumsticks

    Ingredients

    • 8 chicken drumsticks, skin removed
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 tablespoon hot sauce of choice
    • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
    • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
    • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
    • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
    • olive oil

    Method

    1. Heat a deep fry pan or large saucepan over a medium – high heat with a small amount of olive oil
    2. Brown drumsticks for 3 – 4 minutes
    3. Add water, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger and hot sauce. Combine well and cook until liquid comes to a boil
    4. Reduce heat to a low simmer. Cook covered for 20 minutes
    5. Remove cover and reduce heat further and cook for another 10 minutes until sauce is thickened. Turn chicken occasionally during this process
    6. Remove chicken and pour sauce over the top. Sprinkle with sesame seeds
