• Apple Crumble

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups almond flour
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1/2 cup coconut oil
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • 5 medium granny smith apples, peeled,  sliced then chopped in half width-wise

    Method

    1. Slice apples and boil for about 5 minutes to soften
    2. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg
    3. In a smaller bowl, combine oil, honey and vanilla
    4. Stir wet ingredients into dry
    5. Place apples in an 8×8 square baking dish
    6. Crumble topping over the apples
    7. Cover and bake at 180 degrees C for 50 minutes
    8. When apples are soft and their juices bubble, remove cover and bake 10-12 more minutes to brown crisp toppings

    Serve warm
